Garlic Bulb
Garlic Bulb is used in traditional medicine and also as a food ingredient. It is the bulb of Allium sativum. There are both hardneck and softneck varieties. The hardneck varieties flourish in cold climates and have a firm, stiff central stem. The softneck variety is spicier than hardneck types. While hardnecks come with a scape having coil-like curls at the top. Another type of garlic is elephant garlic or Allium ampeloprasum, which offers a milder flavour and produces four or six cloves.
